In this work, I invite the viewer into a dreamlike space where memory and imagination converge in the language of color and abstraction. "Last night" is a meditation on the emotional terrain of solitude and serenity. The soft, blurred blues and aquas evoke a sense of calm depth—like drifting beneath the surface of water or sky—while vibrant bursts of magenta, crimson, and white suggest hidden life stirring beneath the stillness.
The floral forms are not literal but gestural impressions, hinting at nature’s quiet persistence and the transience of beauty. They appear and dissolve, emerging from texture and pigment as fleeting moments of clarity. This tension between form and formlessness reflects my ongoing fascination with how we perceive and remember the world—not as fixed images, but as sensations and fragments.
My process is intuitive and layered, often beginning without a fixed outcome, allowing the painting to reveal itself through mark-making, erasure, and spontaneous interaction with color. I hope viewers find in this piece a sense of both peace and discovery—an open space for contemplation, much like the natural landscapes that inspired it.
Please note: the painting comes unframed!
