"Once Open a Dream" is a visual meditation on the boundary between reality and imagination—a gentle invitation to step into a realm where nature is not only seen but felt on a deeper, dreamlike frequency. Through layers of luminous acrylic, I aimed to evoke the serenity and mystery of a moment suspended in time, just before the first light of day fully awakens the earth.
The soft gradients of pink, lavender, and gold in the sky represent a sense of hope and new beginnings, while the rich, contrasting foliage grounds the piece in an emotional depth—a reminder of how dreams often live between clarity and mystery. The birds in flight offer a sense of quiet movement, freedom, and transformation, as if the dream is lifting, slowly turning into memory or aspiration.
This painting draws from my fascination with nature as a mirror of the subconscious. It’s a place where vibrant color and light suggest emotional resonance rather than literal depiction. My intention is not to recreate a landscape, but to render a feeling: that fleeting, sacred space where the veil between the dream world and waking life is thinnest.
I invite the viewer to pause, to breathe, and to let their own dreams rise gently into view.
The painting comes unframed!
